Swedish (Cajun) Meatballs
- 2 pounds Ground Beef
- 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup Half and Half
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
- Scott's Cajun Seasoning
- Salt
- Nutmeg
- Allspice
- 1/4 cup Vegetable or Canola Oil
- 1/4 cup Flour
- 2 cups Chicken, beef or vegetable Broth
- 3/4 Cup Sour Cream
Meatballs
In a bowl, add milk and bread crumbs. Allow to sit until it turns into a paste. Add ground beef, 1 tbsp Scott's Cajun Seasoning, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp allspice, egg, 1 tsp salt and 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce. Mix well with hands and shape into golf ball sized meatballs. Place all meatballs in a baking dish and place in a preheated oven (350 degrees) for 30 minutes.
Sauce
In a sauce pan, mix oil and flour together on medium heat, stirring continuously for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 tbsp Scott's Cajun Seasoning, sour cream, and broth. Stir until consistency of sauce is smooth and mixed thoroughly. Allow to simmer on low until meatballs are ready.
Once meatballs are ready, remove majority of fat/grease from baking dish. Pour sauce over meatballs and bake for another 15-20 minute.
Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes. Please enjoy!
